FIELD TRIP

Wolf Road Prairie, an 82-acre Illinois Nature Preserve, is the largest remaining tallgrass prairie in the Chicago area. Home to rare grasses, wildflowers, wetlands, and savanna, it also shelters diverse wildlife. Saved from development by locals in the 1970s, it’s now a vital refuge.
